Work closely with  the clients own planning advisors

Undertake site surveys  to determine the existing noise levels. These can be from 1-4 hours or over several days as appropriate  according to the nature of the problem.

Liaise with the Local Planning Authority  and/or Environmental Services departments  to establish suitable and reasonable target levels

Will measure the sound emissions from existing plant or use our own data base to calculate  the new sound emissions to nearest properties and dwellings  according to any current guidelines including PPG24 “Planning and Noise” and BS 4142:1997

Will advise on noise control measures necessary to meet local authority requirements and will advise on implications of planning conditions or draft suitable planning conditions in respect of noise.
